Course Description:
A five-day, hands on course designed for those who have an interest in Solar PV (Photo Voltaic), and wish to learn the basics of designing and installing a PV system.

Audience: Homeowner, contractor, electrician, or those contemplating a career in Solar PV.

Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of electricity and mechanical skills with hand tools.

Objectives
Working safety with PV systems
Site assessment
Sizing and designing a system
Adapting a mechanical, electrical and structural design to a specific site
Installing sub-systems and components on site
System review, inspection, commissioning
Maintaining and troubleshooting a system
bullet Understand the National Electric Code requirement and wiring sizing
bullet Understand the design and installation of solar PV systems and their components
bullet Understand the National Electric Code requirement and wiring sizing

  Cancellation Policy: Withdrawals made fewer than seven working days prior to the workshop are subject to a $100 cancellation fee. No-shows (participants who do not attend and have not withdrawn) will forfeit the entire workshop fee. Pace reserves the right to cancel or reschedule workshops as necessary.
